SwiftPayMD is as easy as ‘subscribe-and-go-live.’ Implementation is immediate. User accounts are created on-the-fly and the application can immediately be used as soon as it has been downloaded.
No; encrypted data is stored remotely on servers in our HIPAA compliant data center. Patient data is only temporarily on the device when the user is logged in. All patient data is retrieved from the remote server upon login and is wiped from the device once the session is terminated or times out.
Is the patient data transmitted by SwiftPayMD encrypted in transit?Yes; SwiftPayMD uses HMAC SHA256 encrypted signatures together with SSL/TLS to provide multi-layer protection during data transport for all transactions between client and server.
When at rest, is the patient data in SwiftPayMD’s data center secure?Our data storage devices are encrypted using 256 bit strong encryption technology to protect against the unlikely chance of someone gaining physical access to the drive; if that were to occur, the drive would be unreadable.
No; biller, practice administrator, and office staff member user accounts are free.
No; SwiftPayMD can be used as a turnkey standalone system. SwiftPayMD is convenient and easy for providers to use when their hospital does not have a SwiftPayMD interface. In fact, SwiftPayMD is the only charge capture system that takes the manual data entry out of charge capture with its imaged based patient demographics capture and voice-to-text technology. On the practice management side, there is also no requirement for a practice management system interface as billers are able to receive all charges via their desktop web browser, in real time. On the SwiftPayMD web platform, billers can access, sort, query and export provider charges.
Can my charges be routed into my practice management software?Yes; we can interface SwiftPayMD with your practice management software.
Can SwiftPayMD interface with my hospital’s information systems?Yes; we can build an interface with your hospital. Simply make a request with your hospital administrators.
SwiftPayMD was created by a physician for physicians. One of the Company’s co-founders is a Yale physician, a Harvard MBA and a Georgia Tech Engineer. He conceived of SwiftPayMD when he was training in neurosurgery. The management team and software engineering team consists of multiple Harvard MBAs and Georgia Tech engineers.
